Brazos Bend SP Camping this weekend

Our first Pack camp out starts tonight! The weather is cooperating and should be perfect all weekend. We are camping at Brazos Bend State Park.  For those leaving tonight, we will meet at my house at 6pm and leave at 6:30pm. Dinner is on the way to the park.

Once we get checked in we will get camp set up and do some star gazing. For those joining the Pack on Saturday breakfast is around 8am. Activities start at 9:30am in the Discovery Center. I will have copies of the weekend’s agenda available.

Please have a copy of Medical Form part A/B filled out for each person on the camp out along with the permission slip. These forms can be found under the “Forms” tab.

Sea Rim State Park camping

The Pack went family camping at Sea Rim State Park in September.  The weather caused the trip to be cut short but the boys had a wonderful time anyway. It was also Beach Clean Up weekend so the boys earned service hours by helping to pick up trash and litter on the beach.

Troop 1852 is having a Camping meeting tonight at 7pm at Southminster Presbyterian Church on Cartwright. All 5th graders and their parents are required to attend this meeting. Please bring your medical forms part A & B, the permission slip, and the $26 fee. $19 goes to the Troop and $7 goes to the district.

Webelos Woods will meet the requirement for rank advancement of camping with a Boy Scout Troop. The meeting will also count towards rank advancement as well.
