YPT Training

Reminder – ALL adults must complete the BSA’s Youth Protection Training (YPT) class. It is available online and takes approximately 45 minutes. This class explains the BSA policies and procedures for reporting inappropriate behaviors of either adults or youth. It is mandatory.

YPT is to protect our Scouts and adults. The training is valid for 2 years. There is a classroom training offered in the spring for adults wanting to help out with Daycamp.

Meet the Troops tonight

Webelos and Arrow of Light Cub Scouts (4th and 5th grades), please join me at First United Methodist Church tonight at 7pm to talk to Boy Scouts in various troops.

This is your chance to learn about the different troops in our district and think about where you want to move up to.

Troop 1424, our feeder troop, will have a booth for you to visit.

You will need to decide on what Troop you want to camp with for Webelos Woods, Oct. 21-23.

1st Pack meeting of the year tonight

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great summer!

Due to the changes in the Cub Scout program we will be meeting weekly during the school year; every Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:00pm at Lantern Lane ES in the cafeteria except during school holidays.

Ft Bend County Police Station tour

On Monday, July 25th,  the Pack is touring the Fort Bend County police station at 11am. The address is 1410 Williams Way Blvd Richmond Tx.

I need to know who all is interested in going so I can let them know how many scouts, their parents, and siblings are going. Please let us know by Monday, July 18th who is going on the tour.

This is part of  a rank requirement.

 

Youth Protection Training Class

ALL adults attending camp must attend both a Camp Orientation Training Session and Classroom Facilitated Youth Protection Training (YPT).

These training sessions will be held:
•Tuesday, May 3, 2016 @ 6 p.m. at Austin Parkway Elementary Cafeteria, 4400 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land TX 77479
•Thursday, May 19, 2016 @ 6 p.m. Lexington Creek Elementary, 2335 Dulles Ave, Missouri City, TX 77459
•Saturday, May 21, 2016 @ 9 a.m. at LDS Church Sugar Land, 14555 Lexington Blvd Sugar Land TX 77478

Parent volunteers are required to help move the groups from activity to activity. Register when you register your Scout for Day Camp.

Meeting with Troop 1424

The Webelos 2s (5th graders) will be meeting with Troop 1424 tonight. The meeting is at New Hope Lutheran Church on Murphy Road at 7pm.

This is an opportunity for our Scouts to get to know the Troop and see if it is a good fit for them.

Parents – we need to meet to discuss the Arrow of Light ceremony, date, location, making of the arrows, etc.

Scout Fair Coupon Books

ALL unsold coupon books MUST be returned by the same time. Otherwise you will have to pay for each book you don’t return at $10 each.
